NGO Mongolia
('Asral' is Mongolian for 'Caring and Love')

In 2001, Ven. Panchen Otrul Rinpoche formed Asral Charity in order to help some of the poorest and most disadvantaged
families
in Mongolia. His aim was to bring aid directly to the people.

Now, in 2005,Kunjab Jampa Ling Centre inUlaanbaatar is now functional as a residential centre.
Dharma teachings are given on a regular basis during the year to children and to lay people.

It is the base from which Asral Charity now functions, providing training and teaching rooms, accommodation for staff and volunteers, a large community room and all necessary facilities.

The main aim of Asral Centre NGO is to provide the possibility of self-sustaining work wherever possible, focusing primarily on woman-headed households. The following projects are being implemented by Panchen Otrul Rinpoche:

The Mongolian Women's Project and the Mongolian Children's project are based here, providing an accessible venue for people from both urban Ulaanbaatar, especially in the nearby shanty town, as well as from rural districts of Mongolia. With the addition of this facility, vital work among those who bear the brunt of Mongolia's difficulties receives a great boost.
